Q) What kind of mediums
do you like using the most?
I like traditional mediums such as Color Pencil, and markers. Inking
and using Indian ink dip pens is also some of my favorites. CGing on
computer I tend to like doing quick colors. I will do some serious art,
but only If I get around to it. Most of my artwork you will see in sketch,
ink, or original mediums.
Q) What are some of your
favorite subjects to draw?
Characters mostly, because I enjoy designing them and coming up with
what they will wear. Fantasy subjects will go as far as drawing Gryphon,
Dragon, Elf or Unicorn Class’s. Sometimes I like getting into
the darker side on that subject. I will do landscapes because sometimes
doing something simple is more enjoyable then thinking about other things.
Q) How many years have you been drawing?
I started drawing in elementary school. That was when I started getting
into the art class’s we got to go to. Then slowly as I got older,
I started looking up art books and how to guides. By the end of high
school I had taken every art class they had to offer. Along side of
the commercial art classes offered on the side. By the time I got to
college, I realized it was something I didn’t want to end up hating,
so slowly it’s become more of a hobby. But maybe might rein spire
me to want to make it a professional job.
Q) What would you call your art style?
Any artists influence you?
I really don’t have any artists that influence me in anything.
I do admire a handful of artists that are out there, both old artists
and new age artists. But since I have such a hard stick on staying away
from copying a professional artist that’s already out there I
keep away from doing that. My style is lenient on comic and anime genre.
But I really couldn’t say I’m one of the boring standard
artists out there that go full blown anime. Seeing how I usually don’t
favor the ultra big eyes, and super outlandish anime make up. Though
there are a few animation studios in Japan that I admire. Such studios
like Madhouse and Gonzo. For the more serious arts styles such as Vampire
Hunter D, X1999, and what have you. I also like pinup girls, older artists
like Olivia, I admire her artwork. So I enjoy doing the big kissable
lips on my character, and curvy figures.
Q) Do you think you are
a great artist, or do you see room for improvement?
In my mind, as I’m sure like every artist out there. I am no way
a great artist, and that I am still trying to improve a lot of things
before I move on. It explains why you see a lot of my artwork inked,
is because it’s more of one of the areas I’m trying to work
on the hardest. Before I try and tighten up my color artwork on the
computer. So I have tons of improvement. Though I would say I have gotten
very far in the means of art. But I cannot say that I’m done because
I still have a long way to go.
